Rope, I definitely appreciate this post. I believe more people in our own generation who are aspiring to be faithful ministers and shepherds can benefit from this straightforward exhortation. Truth trumps emotions and hipness (yeah, that's probably not a word).

(Thumbs up)

AMEN! The same thing happened to me this week. I saw a bumper sticker similar to that one and I thought of all the ways our society looks at Jesus. This guy was GOD and he DIED specifically for us, and the best we've got is "christian themed discussions", and bumper stickers. It's an epidemic of a christian-ish america.
Have you heard this yet? : http://www.tenindictments.com/
amazing. It's 2 hours long, but it's solid.

Hi Justin and The Church Body. Everyday I am pleased that I still have my health and strength to help other Christians when needed. Everyone has one or more spiritual talants. Iam still searching for my best skill but in the meantime, my job, our job, is to serve when needed. For me, I started small, setting up chairs and tables at the Raceway ministries. Later, I helped greet people in the chow line, many are searching for true salvation and our selfless giving speaks volumes to them. It was the small steps, that helped me grow with Christ. I struggle to go out witnessing but we should not expect "home-runs". We simply need to love our neighbors and help guide them to spiritual salvation. We need to plant seeds. Kinetic Church is an interesting alternative that seems to reach out to the ones shunned by other churches. I commend you all for your service and Justin's mom has a lot to be proud about.

Justin,

I couldn't agree with you more. That is why KidTrek is placing missionaries into churches to work with the invisible children of America. They need committed Christian adults in their lives to walk through life with them.

Take a look through our blog to see our passion http://whymissionaries.wordpress.com/

We are looking for high school and college groups who are interested in supporting missionaries to work with the invisible at-risk children of America.

Dude, I was in a band for a long time, and I know what you're talking about. I've got some sweet stories involving firecrackers, gasoline, old cymbals, and peeling out. Plus more.
We should form a band.
And destroy the world with our rockerdom.
Ha.
But I know what you mean about things changing. I'd like to be back there, but I'm so caught up in numbers now too. I guess that makes us to be in the same BANDwagon? Bah!
I got jokes.
That's all.
KBYE
